Unfortunately, the premium hiking trail only covers the first 7 km, including Calw, the Scaffold, the beautiful path along the Rötelbach stream, and the climb to the Stubenfelsen. After that, wide forest paths and even paved roads predominate. The hiking lodge is also, unfortunately, completely overpriced. What a shame.

A premium trail that truly deserves premium. The view from the Gimpelstein, the scaffold, and the dark times of the Middle Ages—and above all, the idyllic Rötelbach Valley. Not to be forgotten is Calw, the home of Hermann Hesse. A very beautiful and varied trail, perfect for hiking even in high temperatures. The final stop is the beer garden at the Zavelstein hiking lodge. It was a fantastic day.
First the refreshment, then the fun😁. After lunch in the highly recommended Zavelstein hiking lodge, we set off on the (premium) trail with friends. It is one of the Black Forest gourmet trails. The highlight of this tour for us is the section in the Rötelbachtal: The stream babbles along the narrow path, sandstone rocks decorate the backdrop like works of art, marsh marigolds create bright yellow accents. In very early spring, crocus meadows dominate the scene near Zavelstein, a sea of violet flowers spills over the meadows.
Great, varied tour. It is particularly beautiful along the Rötelbach.
On the holiday we went to the Black Forest. It started at the hiking center near Bad Zavelstein. We reached the Rötelbach gorge via beautiful forest paths and ridges, past rock faces and forced through crevices. Along the lively river with several crossings, we soon saw the outskirts of Calw. We went back along the Schafottweg over picturesque forest and meadow paths. Finally, we visited Zavelstein Castle and also briefly visited the beautiful market square in Calw. An all-round successful day!
Very nice way. Many paths and scenic variety
Hey🙋♀️ today I walked the long-awaited premium and gourmet trail. I started the round in Zavelstein and I'm glad about it, because unfortunately I wasn't that enthusiastic😔. The actual and in my opinion the only highlight is the Rötelbachtal😍😍. It's wonderful with the mossy stones and the great root path. The café was also great, with a view of Calw, and is recommended 👍 Otherwise unfortunately a lot of forest highway 🙊 The way up from the Rötelbachtal was great though, I really worked up a sweat 😅 And because it doesn't matter anymore, a "nice" stretch of asphalt in the blazing sun 😅 Fortunately it went through the forest again to the car park. I wish everyone a great rest of the weekend 🙋♀️
