Grandiose bike tour from Alpnachstad. Everything super marked bike route 291 following. Ascent mostly on technically easy paths, good places to eat along the way, wonderful views and landscape experiences as well as sensational single trail downhills, which should preferably be ridden in dry conditions (lots of stones, roots) https://www.schweizmobil.ch/de/mountainbikeland/routen/route-0291.html
After yesterday's hike, I got back on my bike today. A beautiful ride near Alpnach. First more than an hour uphill, then gentle ups and downs and then on beautiful paths and challenging trails back down to Alpnach.
A very nice tour. A bit asphalt heavy but without traffic. Has nice trails to offer. However, the trail is closed at about 30 km due to landslides, you have to carry the bike about 10 meters there and continue on. Always has beautiful benches to refresh yourself on the entire tour.
After Sarnen go 10km steeply uphill on tar. 1st part of the round nothing special, but in the 2nd part some nice downhill single trail departures. Mostly not above the tree line, so the view into the distance is not particularly good. Area however beautiful, almost deserted.
At the moment early enough, still quite a lot of snow in the area of Schrottenegg, Älggäu, see photos
great tour. very varied and the climbs are tough. the single trails at the end demand everything again.
Most of the single trails were not passable for me. Otherwise a nice tour with a great view!
The O-Bike route no. 291. We skipped the trip from Alpnach to Sarnen. The relatively steep but continuous climb begins directly from Sarnen Nord train station. The surface is mostly paved or gravel. From the highest point, the route descends on occasional single trails (max. S2). Those who want can take the train in Alpnach. The highlight of this tour is the beautiful mountain scenery!
