That day was just awesome, fantastic trails, beautiful area 🚵♂️🤗🍻
Mega tour 🤩 through Franconian Switzerland. Today I made it easy for myself and just took a tour from the "Designated tours in Franconian Switzerland". Many thanks to @Rombea for the inspiration. The trails are strong 🐏 and make a lot of fun. There are also three lookout towers (Schlossberg, Himmelsleiter, Kleiner Kulm), which of course I took with me (there are meters of altitude 😉). The small beer garden at the "mountain station" Hollenberg is fantastic. You can't get past the homemade bread 🥖 🧀 😋. Be sure to try it! The Püttlachtal 🏞️ after Pottenstein you have to see 👁️ anyway. And if you then think that you can let it run out on Pegnitz, there is another really narrow trail. cool 😀. To my great delight, I met "the" luminary for the Franggische with @Gecko 🦎 for a nice chat. The perfect day 😀⭐️👏🥰🔝.
The MTB classic in Franconian Switzerland. Made it for the second time today and I have to say it was just as good as the first time. Great trails, super beautiful nature. Lots of highlights on and off the track. Great viewpoints over the Franconian. So everything that needs to be included on an MTB tour...
In Pottenstein and Pegnitz you can look forward to a very special treat. According to the magazine bike, the Pegnitz-Pottenstein tour is one of the 10 most beautiful MTB routes in Germany. No wonder, because the tour offers wonderful single trails, tough climbs and tricky downhill routes for the rider. That's a lot of fun!
Our starting point is in Pottenstein. The tour is peppered with great trails and a great landscape! Thank you Pegnitz Tourism Association!👍😀 I can only recommend the tour.
A challenging trail tour (technique and fitness 💪) in the beautiful Franconian Switzerland 🌳🪨. It has many highlights (🏰, etc.) and offers very varied single trails. The weather was ideal today 🌤️👍 and I was happy when I could hang my tired feet in the Pegnitz spring at the end 😅. Template by @Fränkische Schweiz ➡️ Thank you 🙏!
For today's mountain bike tour, we chose a ready-made tour from the tour portal for mountain bikers "Designated mountain bike tours through Franconian Switzerland", why reinvent the "mountain bike" 😉. Today was the third time for me, but I just wanted to show Norbert this wonderful tour and it was a good fit for our preparation for the Alps. The MTB route between Pegnitz and Pottenstein is one of the 10 most beautiful routes in Germany according to the bike (4/2005) and we can only confirm that after today's round. The almost 37 km long round tour has everything to offer that makes the MTB heart beat faster, great sights, lookout towers, short carrying and pushing passages and trails, trails and more trails. I changed the tour a bit and it went "pushingly" (driving prohibited) to the "Hohe Warte" vantage point and the singer's house, it's worth it. A wonderful tour, even if the ice cream in the Pottenstein ice cream parlor was disappointing (prefer to take a break in the Waldcafe) and completely overpriced, and even if unfortunately the route markings were often missing and we missed the right descent twice. This tour is an absolute recommendation, although it is technically and physically challenging, it is still, or maybe because of it, really fun. We agreed that the mountain bike tour calls for a repeat.
At the intersection of the eight is a nice little beer garden. The lower part of the eight, what you drive first, is also worth doing the round the other way around. In the end we had to take a different path on the bee path because the Komoot path goes through a restricted area.
