The Lasnitzenhütte offers a great view of the Großvenediger and is very easy to reach via a forest road. When you are at the Lasnitzenhütte, it is recommended to take the Muhs Panorama Trail.

July 27, 2024,Osttirol 2024: Parkplatz Gries – Bergerseehütte – Muhshöhenweg – Lasnitzenhütte
The normal route to the Bergerseehütte is particularly strenuous, as it goes steeply through the forest. After a good 2.5km, you reach the first valley level and it is briefly somewhat flatter through the beautiful high valley, then at the end there is another steep level (approx. 200m) to the Bergersee and the hut.

June 28, 2022,Muhs-Panoramaweg
The Muhs-Panoramaweg around the Muhsköpfle offers great views of the numerous 3000m peaks of the Venice Group and their glaciers. After a steep ascent, first through the forest and then through a completely uncultivated plateau, we reached the Bergerseehütte after 2.5 hours. A small downpour on the last meters of the ascent already announced what was threatening us. Arriving at …

The Muhs Panorama Trail is a dream trail, both beautiful on the ascent to Bergersee and on the panorama trail itself, leaving nothing to be desired, completely satisfying any hiker seeking solitude.
One of the most beautiful circular trails I've walked in recent years. Simply magnificent.
And there are hardly any tourists during the pre-holiday season at the end of …

The most important finding today: the well-packed knee holds! 🍀😊 Start was the parking lot in Gries, from there the ascent to the Bergerseehütte. Continue on the Muhs panorama trail and up to the Muhsköpfle. Caution is advised on the steep and narrow climb up to the Muhsköpfle, as the marmots seem to like the climb a lot too! 😉 …

The extremely beautiful ascent to the Bergerseehütte alone was already worth it. The Panoramaweg trail in glorious weather even more so. Both huts were great. The descent was OK and only steep in the last section through forest that was no longer quite healthy. Overall a super beautiful tour. 👍👍👍

On the second day, we were already busy and climbed 1,000 meters and descended 🔝⬇️
The elevation gain is incorrect again, because the GPS was partially lost 🙈

From P Gries, it's a leisurely walk on a road or footpath, until the fairly steep climb to the Berger Alm begins

The local management is great for a little refreshment before going over the Wetterkreuz to the Berger See Hütte - mainly for the path through larch forest and alpine soil.
