MTB Park Palatinate Trail 2 (S3)

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

The trail is really tough – but that's what makes it special. Technically difficult and steep.

Burgalbsprung Spring

Highlight • Natural Monument

The Burgalb goes a little further downhill into the Schwarzbach. The small stream gives you a nice opportunity to roll down the river on relaxed forest paths in the western Palatinate Forest. Only in Waldfischbach-Burgalben does the landscape clear and you drive out of the whale. If you want, you can follow the Schwarzbach from here to the Bliestal.

House of Sustainability

Highlight • Rest Area

The House of Sustainability was built as a central forum for the Palatinate Forest Biosphere Reserve and is entirely dedicated to the topic of sustainability. Not only was it built with this focus: according to strict ecological criteria. Here you can learn everything about this exciting topic. There are changing exhibitions, films, and interesting events. Outside, you will find a blooming garden, whose orchards, perennials, and climbing trees you can simply enjoy or combine with a picnic. In the Pfälzer Waldladen, you can shop or treat yourself to an ecologically produced refreshment. Info can be found here: hdn.wald.rlp.de.

Palatinate Forest MTB Park - Pure Mountain Biking

Just the thing to wake you up on a Sunday morning after a friend's 50th birthday the day before.

Some very challenging single trails - but you can dismount there just to be safe 😁.

That's biking in the Palatinate Forest ❤️

Last loop through the Palatinate Forest. Loop via Heltersberg. We always enjoy coming back here. MTB without path closures, no 2-meter rule like we have here in our region. What a relief. The Swabians are simply backward. Simply a beautiful ride. Always look out for one another, and then there are no problems with hikers or anything else.
