The bike paths are as diverse as the flora and fauna. Fish pond after fish pond. From sea eagles to adders, from asphalt to sandy paths. A very beautiful but challenging route. Highly recommended. 🦅
What can I say about this tour? Wonderful landscape 👌. Sometimes I didn't know where to look first. The paths are quite rough in places, but you can get over it. All in all, a successful day💪.
The numerous lakes in Lusatia tempt you to drive around them. After driving around the “newer” lakes near Senftenberg, this time we went on the Seeadlerrundweg in the Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape Biosphere Reserve. After many cycle highways in the Spreewald and around Senftenberg over the last few days, this time it was natural cycle paths through forest and fields. It was amazing how many lakes (sometimes small, sometimes large) we passed and there were vantage points everywhere to observe the animals and birds. We were mostly alone on the paths, only at Bärwalder See and in Uhyst did we meet other cyclists. The silhouette at Bärwalder See was quite interesting, while you were relaxing on the beach, the (power plant) chimneys that created this lake were working in the background. Otherwise we were mostly in nature, and if there were sections of road to drive, there was usually little traffic. And most importantly, there is a great ice cream shop in Uhyst and you can actually spot eagles (and many other things) on the Seeadlerrundweg. A very nice area for cycling!
