Our 1st 🇸🇪 National Park 😊 Parking for mobile homes at the entrance -NATURUM STENSHUVUD- FREE (main entrance) A unique place, the inside of which has been shaped by powerful movements deep in the rock and the outside of which has been shaped by the influences of humans and animals over the last millennia. With its special profile, Stenshuvud was a landmark for seafarers for a long time. The name of this place comes from the name 'hoj sten' (high stone) - Stensho. The special thing about Stenshuvud is that many different natural environments can be found in a relatively limited area. This varied area was created through human use. DIFFERENT LONG PATHS LEAD THROUGH THE PARK, DIFFERENT COLORS MARKED BY LENGTH. WE HAVE CHOOSE THE YELLOW ROUTE. 4.2 KM

One of my very favorite tours in southern Sweden. It's probably even more beautiful in the morning when the sun rises over the sea. You can find more sights in southern Sweden in my article about Skane: https://wanderfolk.de/2023/10/10/suedschweden-gehenswuerdigkeiten-skane/

A wonderful, very varied hike in southeast Sweden.

The Stenshuvud mountain and the national park of the same name are located in Kivik in the southeast of Skåne, around 15 km north of Simrishamn. Stenshuvud ("Stone Head") rises 97 m high right on the Baltic Sea beach. Stenshuvud is the continuation of the Skåne diagonal, a fault that stretches from Kullaberg over Söderåsen to Österlen. The national park is a small but wonderful hiking area with beech and oak forests. Anyone who climbs to the top of Stenshuvud will be rewarded with a magnificent view of Hanö Bay. In clear weather, you can see from Skåne to the Danish island of Bornholm. There is a fine sandy beach just below the summit. At the entrance to the national park there are parking spaces, a kiosk and a Naturum where you can learn more about the nature of the national park. (Source=schwedentipps.se)

The southernmost national park in Sweden offers several hiking trails through forests, over rocky hills with beautiful views of the Baltic Sea, along white beaches and remains of an ancient fortress. Some routes are difficult to walk because of countless thick boulders. Proper footwear is necessary here. Your feet will thank you. The peak 'Norra Stenshuvud' is located at an altitude of 96 m. There are three peaks you can visit.

Probably a bit crowded in July. Be careful in the parking lot, which is free of charge, but wrong parking will still be punished: car on camper space = 900 SEK. Many greetings to the "nice" Swede, who ignored us in the Womo and the well-intentioned hint despite clear signs. After the hike, he was certainly very happy about the "ticket" 😉

A beautiful hike to end the year 🧡🇸🇪☀️

Today we visited Stenshuvud National Park which is Sweden's southernmost national park. It covers around 400 hectares, including 80 hectares of sea. The mountain has three peaks and the northern one is the highest (97 meters) and most popular for hiking with its magnificent views over the sea. The park is covered in deciduous forests, particularly hornbeam trees, and has a beautiful beach where you can swim. What a great place 🤗🇸🇪🌞🚐😍
