Today we were a bit lazy about planning and drove the well signposted tour of the Bikearena Sauerland. Our panoramic tour took us from the Diemelsee steadily uphill, mainly on forest roads to Willingen and very trail-heavy back again. Except for a longer carrying passage through the undergrowth due to clearing work, a really great round 🤩 The subsequent Chill & Grill rounded off the day perfectly 😋

A thousand meters of altitude tour with some steep ramps. The trails were partly overgrown or blocked due to tree felling work with transverse trees, so that unfortunately there were some carrying and pushing passages.
Track not recorded all the way to the end. Very cool. I'm pretty much in the can.
Since we liked the girls' Diemelsee tour in the Bikearena Sauerland two weeks ago, it was ridden again today with the extended MTB regulars' table - @themachine (Nobby)☮️🤝 "stepped in" for our vacationer - nice that you were there 🤗 @Nette 🇺🇦 rescheduled the carrying passage - thanks again for that - and planned a detour to the summit cross of the Orenberg, where there is a really great view over Willingen 🤩 The tour is just great - especially the trail-heavy way back from Willingen to Diemelsee, where we had our alcohol-free wheat at the beach bar and I had a dip in the water 🤣 It was a really nice day with you 😊
The tour is no longer mobile! But there are no problems redirecting. Only the hole I'm standing in is predestined for broken bones. In the middle of the descent on a more than 2m wide path is a 40-50cm deep hole. I'm guessing a fox's den or something. At about 30 km/h with the front wheel fully in and did a decent somersault! Luckily the forest floor was soft. So there were only 🤕 bruises!
Second day of vacation in Willingen and there was a tour to the Diemelsee. The tour had a decent amount of altitude. Especially on the way to Diemelsee there were quite a few beautiful trails. Again and again there were beautiful views of the surrounding area. The tour is (minimally modified) an official tour of Bikearena Sauerland and is mostly well signposted with the number 30. We only got a little frayed at one point and had to do an extra lap. It would have been easier to just drive back a few hundred meters - well, it's your own fault if you rely too much on the navigation system. Conclusion: A really good tour. Hence 4.5 out of 5 stars
For the holidays, we once again tackled our favorite route so far in the Sauerland BikeArena. Over 1,000 meters of climbing, great trails, beautiful views, and friendly conversation made for a truly enjoyable ride. Afterwards, we had a real feast in the garden 🍻🍷🍗🥗😋 It was lovely 🤗
