Cycling
On this varied tour, you'll cycle around Lohmar and Overath. Ups and downs pass castles, mills, and through the picturesque Naafbachtal nature reserve. The circular tour starts and finishes at Honrath train station in Lohmar. You can easily arrive by train or park your car in the P+R parking lot.
From the starting point, the route initially climbs towards Honrath. After passing the Wickuhl district, you'll reach the Schiefelbusch farm. You'll then cycle past Dachskuhl to the Gammersbach Mill and the impressive Sülz Castle. After the village of Bach, the now wooded route takes you uphill to the heath village of Altenrath and the so-called Panzerstraße (Panzer Road) back to Lohmar.
The route continues along the right bank of the Agger River and the Sülz River. In Donrath, you'll meet the Agger Cycle Path. The route crosses a small wooden bridge, flanked by the Agger River, through the forest and past fields to the campsite in Peisel. Here, you cross the Agger River and enter the idyllic Naafbach Valley.
Beyond Ingersauel, the trail climbs back up the ridge, and at Leyenhaus, you roll down into the valley – so there's plenty of variety. From Overath, the cycle path runs along the B484 back towards Lohmar to Honrath train station, where you return to the starting point of the tour.

Very scenic tour, but I think it's 50% gravel. Too much for my taste. https://www.dasbergische.de/tour/e-bike-tour-auf-muellers-spuren-lohmar
Today a tour in the Bergisches Land. It starts with a part of the road and then quickly becomes quieter, in the Wahner Heide anyway, on the Agger-Sülz-Weg the autobahn is always acoustically present, there is silence in the Naafbachtal. The condition of the path is good, after rainy days the Agger-Sülz-Weg and the Naafbachtal can be quite muddy in places, today it was possible. A nice varied tour with a few attractions on the way. We met many families with children, especially around the Gammersbacher Mühle, of course.
From the P+R parking lot at the Rösrath exit/ramp, we first went along the cycle path along Sülztalstrasse to Krewelshof under an overcast sky. Let's see what we can take home with us later. Continue to the entrance to Heppenberg. We cross (cyclists dismount!) the Agger Bridge and ride along the Agger to Kreuznaaf. The beautiful Naafbachtal begins here. In keeping with this, the sky also opens up and shows the most beautiful sky blue. After a good 15km, the first climb to Meisenbach awaits us, where we take a short break with coffee and delicious cake (for a donation) in the privately run "garden cafe". Behind Halzemich we reach the highest point of the tour and take another short break. Now we roll steadily downhill towards Overath, follow the Agger to the first bridge, cross this pedestrian bridge and ride on the dike to the next bridge, where we change sides again to cycle towards Gut Eichenthal. We briefly drive along the cycle path on the B484, cross it towards the railway viaduct, keep left towards Agger - the town - and then climb steeply to Honrath and Wahlscheid. We are rewarded with a fantastic view from the Siebengebirge to Cologne and a kite that is being annoyed by crows. We walk steeply downhill again to Sülztalstrasse, buy a pumpkin in the Krewelshof and then cycle comfortably along the Sülz to the starting point. Conclusion: a nice tour through a great landscape. It's worth it!
