This route was planned by komoot.
Today should be good weather again and for our vacation we had planned to visit our favorite Fjellstugu Fagerheim anyway. So we combined the two and started this year's king's stage through the Hardangervidda fell. The wind blew relentlessly around our ears, but we were fed up with the sun throughout the tour! The trail was Norwegian rocky, but fortunately the existing vertical meters could be easily managed and all creeks crossed safely. We even crossed a remaining snow field before we stopped halfway in the DNT hut Krækkja for a well-deserved waffle. After that there were even two white sandy beaches next to a bridge! Overall, we made better progress than expected and in the end we agreed that this hike clearly had to be chosen as our highlight of the year!
7/8 degrees, icy wind (summer holiday after all), a mix of sun and clouds and just a little drizzle at the beginning. AND a fascinating, incredibly beautiful landscape.
