January 29, 2023,Panoramaweg Abtsteinach (A1) (Schneewanderung)
The name says it all, Panoramaweg Abtsteinach you follow the very well signposted path (A1) over mountains and valleys on the roof of the Odenwald. Wonderful views and quiet forest paths can be alternately experienced on one of the most beautiful hikes in the Odenwald.

A really wonderful path that is worth a longer journey for.
Sun/tick protection!! Benches everywhere (see photos).
Mainly in the shady forest but also some very sunny sections. Very little asphalt, lots of paved and unpaved forest paths, paths with soft ground.
Also possible on warmer days; some muddy spots when wet.
Possibility to stop for a break at the …

It has now been several years that the Panoramaweg A1 (Abtsteinach) is traditionally walked at Easter 🐣. Always beautiful, 🤩 especially since today there were some very nice encounters and a short company of a lady Akita dog.

The Panoramaweg Abtsteinach runs, among other things, over the Hardberg, which at 593 meters above sea level is the third highest mountain in the Odenwald (Katzenbuckel 626 meters above sea level and Neunkircherhöhe 605 meters above sea level)⛰.

All in all a super nice round 🌄 on which the rock change between the crystalline Odenwald and the Buntsandstein can …

It's been a while since I last walked the A1 (last in July 2020), and once again I had to realize that it is one of the most beautiful panoramic paths in the Odenwald area. It starts at the nature park place 'Alla Hopp'. If you are interested in visiting the Stiefelhütte (open Wed to Sun from 10 a.m.) you …

I can recommend this tour to everyone.
We had great fun.
Very varied with beautiful views and several highlights. Very well signposted with "A1". Great.

I was longing for the A1 in Abtsteinach again. A bit of a longer journey but worth it. Mostly forest 🌳, but also quite varied. Some very nice rest areas and in between great views of the rolling hills of the Odenwald. Well-known hiking trails cross it, such as the Si6 near Siedelbrunn coming from the Eiterbachtal. There is also …

Today I met up with my dear friend Conny in the Odenwald to hike the Abtsteinach Panorama Trail. This trail leads through varied meadow and forest paths. As the name suggests, there are many panoramic views to be seen. Wood and stone artworks along an art trail provided further variety. We mostly followed the A1 signs, detouring a few times …
