This route was planned by komoot.
Quite a demanding hike with children's backpacks, but with great views of wild water and beautiful mountains.
We had planned a route from a hiking brochure for the Hardangerfjord. It would have taken us further into the Hardangervidda National Park. The Hardangervidda is Norway's largest national park and Europe's largest plateau with over 8000 km². However, a bridge was destroyed on this route, so we had to reschedule on site. The result is a super beautiful, varied hike. The start was at the parking lot in Hjølmaberget, which we had heard about during our bike tour a few days beforehand. A thoroughly worthwhile tour with a completely different character than our previous tours in the Fiordland. (Incidentally, the altitude indication is definitely not correct. The komoot algorithm has probably not taken into account the constant ups and downs.)
