Geocaching tour in the Raintal https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7650A?dluid=074ba572-069d-4543-8972-b9617a0a2e03 We went the tour to the Otto Mayr hut and were able to find 18 geocaches along the way. Before that we passed the Musaler Alm, which was closed. Pay attention to the rest days.
A very nice tour. We're glad we made it in these temperatures. We walked a lot in the sun, and the horseflies were our biggest enemies. 😬 We were already at our limits. After all, we're not 40 anymore. 😀 The descent was hell at the end. I can hardly feel my feet anymore. But that will pass.
What a blaze of color! This tour deliberately "only" went to the Füssener Hütte. For geocachers, this trail is a true paradise. The caches are strung together like a string of pearls. But this tour is also a beautiful destination in any other way, especially in autumn.
Actually, I wanted to go to the Große Schlicke with 7 companions. We had given up on that, however, because there is snow from around 1600m. It had rained slightly until noon. There were long breaks at the Musauer Alm and the OttoMayrHuette
Since the window of opportunity before the rain started was tight, I climbed a peak from my list 😅 The rain came pretty much on time as we were descending 🚴🏻♀️ to the parking lot 🌧️ As a B & H, I can absolutely recommend this tour! Would I hike the entire route (about 8 km) from the free parking lot to the Waldsteig? I don't think so 🤭 But there are a few huts... the Musauer Alm, already open, and the chocolate/pear cake is highly recommended 🥰, then the Otto-Mayr-Hütte and the Füssener Hütte, both still closed 🙃
Unfortunately I'm only now getting around to putting the tour online. We took the e-bikes from the (free) Bärenfalle car park (near Roßschläg) into the Reintal and from the Füssener Hütte we continued on foot to the Großer Schlicke. The route and altitude are manageable - since it was a very warm day and we started around noon, we took our time. Times and altitude are not correct, it was: With the eBikes: 680hm & 16km (2 hours incl. breaks); On foot: 570m elevation gain & 5.2km (4 hours incl. breaks) Description is in the captions.
Today the Sonnenbergbahn takes you from Grän to the Sonnenalm at 1821 m. But you can't see anything from the sun today. Instead, fog and some snow await us. The temperature is around 10°. After about 2 hours descent we reach the Füssener Hütte at 1550 m in the Raintal and warm up a little. The fog is slowly clearing and the sun is making its way. The sun finally prevailed at the Frauensee. Today's tour ends in the Frauenseestube.
