Garda Trentino | Anello "Sentiero dell'olivo" Trek This beautiful pedestrian route starts from the center of the medieval village of Arco, north of Riva del Garda, and leads to a visit to the ancient castle and the olive groves to the north, showing how the olive tree has transformed the landscape and local culture over the centuries. From the arrival of the Romans over 2,000 years ago, to the Medieval period, to the subsequent Habsburg period, up to today, between Trekking, Bike, Climbing and Environment, the olive tree has been a constant in the history of this area. The native variety of Garda Trentino is the Casaliva. The climb to the castle is the steepest part, so it is recommended to take it slowly, especially for people who are not very fit or elderly. Alternatively, we suggest doing the route in reverse, leaving this part for the end. Finally, the old part of the village is truly worth dedicating a little time to discovering every corner and alley. Enjoy your walk.
Beautiful excursion that starts from the castle of Arco and winds through the slopes of the Baone peak crossing olive groves with a very feasible and never monotonous route... splendid views of the Sarca valley... especially from the castle you can enjoy a breathtaking view up to the marocche of Dro. Obviously on the way back a beer in the center of Arco🍻🍻🍻
