This route was planned by komoot.
Today, in quite a heat, we cycled the Siljansleden trail, which circles Lake Orsa. The cycle path often runs along small roads, sometimes even along forest paths. A short section of the route through the forest was very sandy and not very comfortable. At Våmhus, we first took the cycle path into the village, but then decided to drive back up to the main road to get an ice cream at the convenience store/gas station 🍦☀️. We had parked near Orsa, and on the way back to Vikarbyn, a moose 🫎 actually crossed the road in front of our car... 🙂, luckily with enough distance, and the oncoming motorhome was also able to brake.
After a lot of hikes (and canoe tours) I was on my bike again today: Once around the Orsasjön without the chance to shorten the tour 😅 - but it wasn't necessary either. Every fan of Sweden has certainly heard of the Vasa Run and the Dala horses - we have now been to Mora, where these "celebrities" are located. I also really liked the countless old wooden houses and wooden warehouses. The route ran partly on country roads, but these were not very busy.
