Discover a route, accessible to all, that completely circles the summit of Lachat. Culminating at an altitude of 2,050 meters, it dominates this loop, offering magnificent views of the Thônes Valley and the Aravis mountain range. Allow between 1.5 and 3 hours of driving time depending on your fitness and technical ability.
The route offers a significant elevation gain, but the technical difficulty is concentrated in only two sections: the descent from "La Taverne" and the crossing of the Col des Annes to the Clé des Annes (pushing possible). Be careful of the footpaths used by pedestrians and cyclists in July and August.
The departure point is at the Lachat chairlift on the heights of Le Grand-Bornand. You embark on a beautiful trail that winds along the mountainside. This offers splendid panoramas of the Aravis mountain range. You then reach the Chapelle de la Duche before reaching the Col des Annes.
At the pass, two restaurants offer a gourmet break before heading back down towards the starting point. Along the way, you'll discover several lakes, including Maroly Lake. Although artificial, its sparkling waters contrast with the green of the surrounding pastures.
