A hike that will impress not only history buffs awaits you on this tour along the Kaiserschützenweg (Kaiserschützen Trail). In addition to deep insights into the region's history, you can also enjoy sweeping views. However, caution is advised: Since the trail leads through alpine terrain, please make sure you wear surefootedness and sturdy shoes, and do not walk the trail in the opposite direction. All clear? Let's go!

You start at the Lochmühle in Nauders and hike first towards Norbertshöhe, then towards Sellesköpfe. Through a beautiful larch forest and later across stunning pastures, you will soon reach the start of the Kaiserschützenweg (Kaiserschützen Trail).

From here, you can enjoy impressive views of the Finstermünz Gorge, the "Hoher Turm" (High Tower), and the Engadine. You will also discover historic rock caverns that served as accommodations for the Kaiserschützen (Kaiserschützen Troops) during the First World War. An exciting combination of nature experiences and insights into the history of the border triangle.

At the end of the trail, a forest path finally takes over. It takes you towards Norbertshöhe and finally back to Nauders.
