Weschnitz Spring

Highlight • River

Beautiful idyllic place in the beautiful Odenwald. The Weschnitz sees the light of day, trickles into a large natural basin and begins its journey to the Rhine.

Lion Wind Harp Sculpture

Highlight • Monument

When the wind blows reasonably well, the strings swing and you can hear the wind harp really well. It's fascinating. 👍

Today we hiked the sound tour in the Odenwald in bright sunshine. The tour actually starts in Hammelbach, but a little refreshment never hurts, so we set off from the Alt Lechtern forest restaurant. And we followed our ears. Attention‼️the restaurant can be reached via a small road in Fürth.

Today I was on the sound hiking trail in Hammelbach again. This is a beautiful round at any time of year. Here is the link to my winter tour komoot.de/tour/304370023?ref=aso.
I actually wanted to walk over the Wagenberg. This was thoroughly spoiled for me by two boys aged around 10 to 12 who used their motorbikes on the path for …

Hello everyone,

Last weekend (mid-September) I was on the Hammelbach sound hiking trail. A small and quite nice path with lots of things to see. In keeping with the name, there are of course some stations on the subject of sound such as a buzzing stone, a wood xylophone or a wind harp (and a few more). At some of …

Weschnitz spring, Kneipp pools, beautiful chimes integrated into the landscape (a must-hear experience), lush meadows, narrow forest paths, a magnificent mossy rock landscape (can't really be captured in photos), panoramic views, light and shadow in the forest, rest areas, woodcarvers in the village, a church...

We've been in the Odenwald since yesterday 🌲

Today's circular hike is something very special and has completely captivated us.

"Discovering silence and experiencing sounds at the same time...isn't that a contradiction?"
...no, definitely not, the different sounds of the sound stations help you pause and calm down.

Absolutely idyllic! Beautiful, varied nature, fields, meadows, forest. Along the way, there are a variety of chimes to listen to and enjoy, which blend in perfectly with nature, and some invite you to become active yourself. In Hammelbach there are a few nice rest stops. Really great tour!

Hello, today I was on my way to the Weschnitz spring. I started from the Hammelbach hiking car park. When I arrived at the Weschnitz spring, I didn't go to the spring because a school class was there. The teacher told me that they hike from the source of the Weschnitz spring to the mouth of the Rhine. I wished …
