Mountain biking

On the Seefeld circular tour, you'll ride along the finest gravel paths, along turquoise rivers, to a panoramic platform, and—depending on the mood—past two alpine lakes. Whether you're on a mountain bike or a gravel bike, you'll make good progress on this easy, yet extensive tour.

With the Wetterstein Mountains to your left, you'll cycle from Weidach along the Leutascher Ache. Rolling gently downhill, the route mostly follows the gray gravel banks of the river until you cross the narrow Geisterklamm gorge and reach Mittenwald. Now following the picturesque Isar, you'll return to the Tyrolean forests and soon marvel at the panoramic view from the Brunschkopf viewing platform.

The Wildmoos plateau not only offers idyllic places to stop for a break, but also two rare natural phenomena: Both the Lottensee and the Wildmoossee are so-called aperiodic mountain lakes that only appear during certain constellations of spring rainfall and snowmelt. The lovely Fludertal valley finally brings you back to your starting point.

Gunzi
June 22, 2025, Von Mittenwald über Scharnitz, Mösern auf den Brunschkopf und über Leutasch/Weidach und den Klammgeistweg zurück

A beautiful circular route with plenty of shade, perfect for hot days :-) I can't really recommend the stretch from km 15.4 to 16.5 – it's an extremely dusty dirt road, also used by the bus service towards Wildmoos. It's a lot of dust :-( Better still, take a short section south through Seefeld and then join the path from "Am Kirchwald" to the northwest.

Today with an e-bike 😊, also very nice 👍. Unfortunately, Komoot kept breaking off and a few kilometers are missing🤨
