The start at Pfedelbach Castle invites you to enjoy the first moments between historic walls and a well-kept park. A bakery beckons nearby, perfect for a light breakfast or a break on the way back.
The route then takes you out into the countryside, past orchards, through villages, and along the romantic streams that give the tour its name. The trail isn't challenging, but varied enough that you'll never get bored. The region is particularly vibrant around Öhringen. The old town with its half-timbered houses, the Court Garden, and the castle provide a mix of history, culture, and nature.
Towards the finish, the view opens up to vineyards and open fields. The Württemberg Wine Cycle Route winds through the heart of one of the most famous wine-growing towns in the southern part of Germany. Along the way, short stops at one of the playgrounds or in the beer garden at Balko's HEICcamp, where regional specialties are served, are ideal. Arrival and departure can be easily planned by train.
