Look forward to a fluid, ten-kilometer trail with pleasant berms and curves with a unique view of the Leoganger Steinberge for rookies and pros in the Leogang Bike Park.

The ten-kilometer-long Steinberg Line by FOX starts at the Steinbergbahn mountain station and meanders through the forest towards the Steinbergbahn valley station. With an average gradient of around nine percent, it is one of the most fluid trails in the Leogang Bike Park. There are plenty of easy-to-navigate berms and curves for bikers of all skill levels to be found on this trail. On great clearings with a unique view of the eponymous mountain range "Leoganger Steinberge" you can take a break, relax briefly and capture the unique panorama at the photo point plateau.

Highlight tip: Be sure to take the time to stop at the photo point and capture the fantastic view of the Leoganger Steinberge.

Steinberg Line by FOX

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

You can reach the start of the six-kilometer-long flow trail with the Asitz or Steinbergbahn. From there, it winds through the forest and meets the Hangman II in the lower section (komoot.com/de-de/highlight/103316).

You can then use the Steinberg Link to get back to the Steinbergbahn valley station. With an average gradient of around nine percent, the Steinberg Line by Fox is one of the smoothest lines in the Leogang bike park. You can find all information about the bike park, prices and opening times here: bikepark.saalfelden-leogang.com/de.

As an alternative, you can also ride the Antonius Trail - this can be ridden instead of the middle section of the Steinberg Line by Fox and then flows back into the Steinberg Line.

Trail Reviews

May 20, 2023, Leogang - Steinberg Line (Blue Line)

The last day at the Bikepark Leogang was definitely my favorite 🥰 When we arrived we were a little shocked at how crowded it was. The main season started today and with one or two exceptions, all routes were open. But I was looking forward to the Steinberg Line, an 8km (929m) flow trail that meanders through the forest into the valley with an average gradient of about 9%. After we had to wait about 30 minutes for the lift again, we went up to 1745hm. Once at the top, it was time to take a deep breath, adjust your helmet and leave 🥰 You can't put it into words, you have to experience it yourself. We drove the trail the first time with 3-4 short breaks. You should also do that the first time to process everything and to collect yourself 😀 Arrived at the bottom then the surprise - max. Lift waiting time 5 minutes. So we're off to the elevator and up again. It went a little smoother on the descent. We actually planned to take the Asitzbahn like the day before to ride a few more trails there. But then we were told that because of the big rush and the previously bad weather, the tracks can hardly be used properly. So we decided without further ado to take the last lift towards the Steinberg Line to shoot it again 😁 In the last third it knocked my socks off for a moment 🙈 I didn't have enough momentum on a jump, so I jumped onto it following second drop came up. When it came up, it lifted me sideways off the track. I was quick-witted and able to turn away a bit so that instead of being thrown head-on, I was "only" thrown against a tree with my knee and shoulder 🙈 But fortunately I didn't suffer any other injuries apart from a few bruises and bruised knees 💪🏼😅 Conclusion: I definitely want to come back here again 😀 But then with more time in my luggage and at a different time of the year. Unfortunately we were here a month too early, most bike parks and flow trails don't open until mid-June. But the Bikepark Leogang alone is worth a trip.

The Steinberg Line by Fox trail is great for riding with children! The mutual consideration is truly top-notch! There are plenty of opportunities to take a break here and there and let the faster riders pass.

Fantastic flowing line with countless curves and berms.

Photos of the trail during the descent are impossible. The trail is marked in blue. At the end you can choose whether to ride the Hängman 2. This is also a lot of fun and has significantly wider and higher berms for cornering. I would definitely classify the Steinberg trail as a red route. It is a bit sharper than the Rubin in Klinovec/Keilberg. All in all, however, it was very well done and 3 descents were definitely enough today. In the center of the bike park at the Asitzbahn there is a nice parkour for the very little ones, as well as a trampoline and playground. A great pump track and great practice routes to warm up on. The food in the restaurant is very tasty, especially the homemade 🍕....🤤
