Trail Reviews

Marco 🤓
September 18, 2025, Innere Ebenealm➡️Elberfelder Hütte➡️Langtalseen ⛰️🌞🤗

A brilliant day tour in the Hohe Tauern National Park. From the Innere Ebenealm, we descend into the valley toward the Elberfelder Hut. It climbs steeply until the trail becomes nothing more than a path. Above the tree line, it becomes wild. The nature is impressive, barren and wild, and you quickly realize where you stand in the universe as a human being. We enjoyed a refreshing drink at Luki's, the hut warden. He says it's over on Monday, the season is over. We got some more trail information from him. We're supposed to head back over the Langetal lakes, and we're supposed to enjoy the trail in glorious weather. So we wind our way up. The path, as wide as a washcloth, leads from lake to lake – three in all. The mountains are incredible, the view a dream. Surefootedness is a must. There's even a section with ropes. We can enjoy the mountains all by ourselves until we finally return to our starting point via the Wirtsbauernalm. A fantastic day and the nature, a dream. 👋
