Hiking
This hike, dedicated to water, features two particularly interesting spots: the Roubier waterfall and the ferruginous spring. To reach them, the forest and mountain pasture landscapes you must cross will delight you just as much.
The trail starts at Oz 3300, which you can reach by car or by chairlift from Allemond. As you leave the resort, you find yourself in the beautiful mountain pastures of Pré Reynaud. The trees gradually colonize the surroundings until you are immersed in a dense forest. After several minutes of walking, you will see a sign indicating "Ferruginous Spring," followed by a small pond recognizable by its rusty color.
The descent continues until you reach the bed of the Roubier River. After crossing the stream, a short detour leads to the waterfall, where you can take a break to admire this beautiful natural spectacle. The route then leads near the hamlet of Bessey, where you branch off to climb back up to Oz 3300. Be careful, the climb is steep. Back at the resort, you will have well deserved a little refreshment.
