Off to the south! That's the motto of this tour, which takes you through the districts of Urdenbach, Garath, and Benrath. Historic architectural masterpieces and adventurous nature cross your path. This isn't a circular tour, but the start at the Garath S-Bahn station and the end at the regional train station in Benrath are close together.
Right from the start, you'll head out into the countryside and soon cycle past the Urdenbacher Altrhein (Old Rhine). The next natural highlight awaits you with the Garath Forest. Shortly after, it's time for the first castle of the day: Garath Castle with its beautiful park.
In the southernmost part of the route, you'll reach the Urdenbacher Kämpe (Urdenbach Kämpe) – a picturesque floodplain landscape directly near the Rhine, which the river regularly floods. And nature is immediately followed by culture. Shortly before the end of the tour, you'll make a detour to Benrath Castle – a magnificent Rococo castle with an extensive park.
