This tour begins in the small village of Hintersee. Not far from the lake of the same name, the trail begins with a steep climb toward Anzenberg and the Latschnalm. At the Latschnalm mountain hut, you can enjoy year-round hospitality and, even on less hot autumn days, you can enjoy the view with a delicacy from the regional cuisine.

The trail continues downhill over the Wieserhörndl and past the Spielbergalm to Gaißau. Here, you can fortify yourself for the strenuous return journey at the Sagwirt Inn. You return the same way.

Lots of alpine pastures on the route from Hintersee to Gaissau. The tour went via the Moosegghütte, the Untereckschlaghütte, the Latschenalm and the Spielbergalm. So there were plenty of opportunities to stop for a break, especially since we had the same route back 😁😁
