Über den Strma Reber

Look forward to a unique road bike tour – a real highlight on the Slovenian-Croatian border. The route takes you from Sodražica along hidden, little-known roads that are simply a joy to ride. You'll roll leisurely over gentle hills through dense forests and wide fields – time seems to stand still here. Finally, you'll pass the Strma Reber. This route takes you up the gentler climb, but the switchbacks are truly enjoyable.

A few kilometers in Croatia are also part of the experience. Today, it's freely accessible, but in the past, everything here was heavily guarded. And that's precisely what makes it so appealing: you can feel the region's history beneath your tires. The asphalt is mostly top-notch, with hardly any traffic – perfect terrain for a few quick pedal strokes and enjoyable views of the vast landscape.

One last highlight awaits you on the way back to Slovenia: the descent to Čabranka. A sign announces a 21% gradient – don't worry: that's not entirely true. At around 16%, the section is tough but short. Eventually, you'll roll back to civilization.
