Hiking

Start from the Boscopiano parking lot, located a few meters from the road to the Stelvio Pass, just beyond the Bagni Vecchi spa in Bormio. After a short stretch on a dirt road, cross the Adda River on a small wooden bridge and take the trail that, with regular switchbacks, begins to climb the slope.

The climb follows the route of an ancient military road, now completely restored, built to control the serpentine Stelvio road from above. Along the way, you'll encounter the ruins of old fortifications, a short, interrupted tunnel, and, higher up, a natural terrace that opens onto one of the most evocative views of the Braulio Valley.

Once you've reached the maximum altitude, around 1,700 meters, ignore the turnoff to Lago delle Scale and continue downhill towards Premadio. Follow the trail through a dense mountain pine forest, past other ruins of buildings and cottages, until you complete the loop near the village of Pozza.
