Looking for a short but scenically impressive tour? Then the Gösing Loop is just the thing. Wild gorges, turquoise waters, a mighty waterfall – all this and more is in store for you. Best of all: Here you can enjoy wonderful peace and quiet, far from the hustle and bustle.

Start with the Mariazellerbahn – the "Stairway to Heaven" – to Gösing. The journey there is an experience in itself. Once you arrive, you begin with a descent through an enchanted forest towards Erlaufboden. You then follow the Erlauf River through the Hintere Tormäuer – a gorge straight out of a picture-book.

From the Wienerbruck power plant, including the demonstration power plant, things get a bit more challenging: The trail climbs steeply, leads through small rock caves and along old lumberjack paths through the unique natural surroundings. The rushing Lassing Falls are always nearby.

Once you reach the top, you can stop at the Seegasthaus Wienerbruck for some refreshments before hopping back on the cable car and ending the day with a beautiful ride.
