This route was planned by komoot.
In view of the predicted storm in the afternoon we left early and after a second breakfast of apple strudel with cream _and_ vanilla sauce on the Durraalm we were at the Knuttenalm in good time. The weather looked so good that I dared to make a detour to Austria because the Klammljoch was so close. At the top there was a wonderful landscape, and the descent almost went well. About 30 minutes before the parking lot, the announced thunderstorm overtook me, including 3 mm thick hailstones. My shoes might have stayed dry if the water running down my legs hadn't filled them from the inside. Next time take the weather report seriously and maybe pack rain pants.
Very nice tour, not so strenuous, definitely stop at the Knuttenalm.
Excellent excursion for everyone, to be done even on those days at risk of mid-season rains. In the summer it should be borne in mind that there is no shade and I assume, unfortunately, it is full of whizzing mtb's ruining the poem.
Departure from the Riva di Tures-chiesa bus stop. By car, park at the "last" car park (-2 km)
A wonderful hike through a great alpine landscape. A highlight were the many marmots, which we watched playing and squabbling for a long time. The ascent is nice and leisurely and is therefore easy to manage.
Today we hiked through the idyllic Knuttental to the Knuttenalm and then on to the Klammlsee. Then we continued on former smugglers' paths to the Austrian border. Old border installations can still be seen.
A beautiful walk surrounded by mountain pines, water, green rocks and flowers. Suitable for everyone
Beautiful and easy hike through the Knuttental to the Knuttenalm. We recommend continuing to the Klammlsee and Klammljoch, where the border between Italy and Austria runs.
