This route was planned by komoot.
It went with the Haideralmbergbahn to the Haideralm. From there we went on hiking trail no. 14, the panorama trail to Schönebenhütte. The path is very varied and beautiful 😊. It goes above the Reschensee long, you sometimes have a fantastic view of the lake. At the end of the path you come to Schönebenhütte, ordered a snack board there, picture 2+3 for €13.50, great value for money 😎. Where else do you get less for more money. Then we went down with the Piz Schönebenbahn. From Rechen am See we take the bus back to St. Valentin.
The cable car takes you west of the village of Reschen to the Schönebenhütte. From here you follow hiking trail 14 to the Haider Alm. The path goes uphill at first, but after that you don't even notice the climb. Overall, this is a relaxed tour. From the Haider Alm, the cable car takes you back down to the valley. If you take the bus, you should make sure that it runs every hour. Before you have to wait forever at the bus stop, it is better to spend some time on the mountain and enjoy the view from the Haider Alm.
We are from the Haideralm valley station by bus to Rechen, then comfortably to the Schöneben valley station with the gondola 🚡. Then we went on the great high trail, with grandiose views of Reschensee and Haidersee, to the Haideralm ... and yes there is the best Kaiserschmarren ... you have to try it ~ yummy ~ and then relax with the gondola 🚡 back down.
Third tour at Lake Reschen...but today with 👣 and 🥾 Beautiful trail above Lake Reschen...with many impressions and panoramic views over the Vinschgau Valley
I took the cable car up from 1500 to 2200 meters. And the first surprise: it's almost windless and 14 degrees Celsius at the top. So I had to get undressed 😆. Luckily, I also had a hiking skirt in my backpack 👌 And then I set off with amazing views and beautiful rest stops – the most beautiful one by a gently babbling brook I couldn't resist. I could easily have spent twice as long on this amazing stretch of trail. Looking everywhere and enjoying it. The cranberry bushes are already turning red, which is clearly visible in the photos. And I finally saw a silver thistle again 😃
Out and about on the Vinschgauer Höhenweg. Today, to enter, the panoramic high path from Reschen. Up with the Schöneben cable car and then a wonderful path in constant ups and downs in the middle of a magical autumn landscape. Great views of the Reschensee despite the many clouds. Unfortunately, Komoot has arranged the pictures incorrectly. The apricot strudel was a fine "reward" in the Haideralm. Highly recommended! 😋🥰 Then back with the Haideralm cable car and the Vinschgau bus back from St. Valentin to Reschen! Perfect! As soon as it started pouring in the car ... 😅
A very nice, promising hike on the Höhenweg
As mentioned, our second hike today took us from the Haideralm via the high trail 14, constantly up and down the slope for almost 6 km to the Schönebenalm near the mountain station. Again and again, the trees revealed views of the turquoise Reschensee. The sun even came out. Not bad for the first day... but we are a bit dreading the next few days, when snow is forecast at higher altitudes. And we actually wanted to go well over 3000m, but that doesn't look good at the moment 😏 On Saturday it was still 30 degrees here and today we were already out in single figures 🙈
