Beautiful hike, fantastic landscapes, path between the shelters sometimes a little exposed but it's worth it .....
I can confirm that this hike is one of my favorites. 😎 Have a good hike!!🌞
What a View I have always admired the Concarena today I can look at it from another side Even if the real protagonist of today is Pizzo Camino!! Starting from the parking lot of the church of San Fiorino di Borno our itinerary takes us to Lago di Lova a small artificial lake nestled between green pine forests, from there we go up the cement road that will take us to Colle Mignone And here begins the show on the rocky Cima Bacchetta Cimone della Bagozza and Mengol to name a few closes the green Monte Susino, next to the Star of the day Pizzo Camino yes because I organized this excursion to see him... at his feet Rifugio Laeng our destination for lunch. After a look at the Varicla lake we set off again for a snack... Rifugio San Fermo. We go up the path and another 360' show opens up the Maniva complex, M. Frerone, unmistakable Cornone di Blumone, Creste di Laione and further behind snow-covered Adamello. And then play hide and seek but I don't escape Pizzo Badile "I recognize you" Once we reach San Fermo we close the compilation with the Presolana and the Apennines in the distance... Have a good hike!!🔝
It is true to say that "with the Sun the world changes"... We did this tour again after two years, but today the weather was on our side, giving us the true essence of this tour: a 360⁰ view that allows you to admire part of the most famous peaks of the Orobie, the Presolana, the Pizzo Camino, the Cimon della Bagozza and many others❤️ turning your gaze towards Val Camonica you go from Blumone, until you reach the legendary Adamello❤️❤️ A fairly simple route apart from the initial and final sections which are quite steep even if you walk on a mule track with a concrete surface. A suitable tour for collecting Girarifugi points (stamps of refuges and mountain huts) and for stocking up on excellent cheeses😋😋
Starting from Borno, a small town in the Val Camonica at about 900m, our round trip went steeply uphill today with the destination 'Rifugio San Fermo'. Asphalt became gravel became a forest path became an alpine meadow. There were at least two animal encounters (without jingling) before the longed-for Italian hut fare. The highlight I had hoped for came as dessert: the narrow path 'Sentiero Alto' below the rugged peaks of Corna di San Fermo, Cima Moren and Pizzo Camino with a fantastic panoramic view of Borno, the Val Camonica and the surrounding peaks 🤩. The unexpected highlight was the descent through the huge, already overgrown scree field at 'Foppa di Varicla'. After we had passed the Rifugio Gualtiero Laeng, the way back continued over alpine paths, alpine paths and finally forest paths again, whereby the local recreation area at Lago di Lova was particularly eye-catching. However, the lake itself is only a backdrop, because it is used to generate energy. [Pictures will be commented on gradually]
Hiking route with a mountaineering section at the top, to be tackled with good physical preparation. Please note that the stretch of road (very steep) that goes up to Lake Lova from Borno is closed to vehicular traffic.
