Gravel riding

The name says it all. This tour will challenge your calves with many meters of elevation gain. Lonely side roads, finest gravel, mountains, forest and water are the ingredients for your extended day on the gravel bike.

It starts at the tourist information office in Inzell. From there you roll warm towards Ruhpolding. Nicely shaded and cool, you glide the first kilometers along the Windbach through the forest, until the Weiße Traun takes over. Slowly but surely it gets alpine, the gravel crunches pleasantly under your studs and you have found your rhythm. At the Förchensee you can jump into the water before you reach Reit im Winkl.

The village invites you to take a break with cafés and restaurants before the challenging climb to the Hutzenalm. If your energy reserves are still full, you can start the climb right away and treat yourself to a well-deserved refreshment with a view of the Großglockner and Großvenediger. With around 400 meters of altitude difference, you then descend into the Achental and through the Bergener Moos back to Inzell.

The Forchensee invites you to linger, especially when the sun is shining. The play of colors in the water, depending on the position of the sun, is very impressive.
