Your starting point is the train station in Ahlen. From there, you cycle relaxed along the Werse, which meanders gently through the meadows. It won't be long before you reach the Westfalen colliery, once considered the deepest and most modern colliery of the late German Empire.

Afterwards, you will head towards Dolberg via the former railway line. The path runs without gradients through open landscapes, accompanied by fields and rows of trees, and offers beautiful views of the Münsterland plain and the Lippe floodplains. A detour to the Oberwerries water castle is worthwhile here, before you continue cycling to the historic Veringsmühle. From there, you will finally return to your starting point via the Werseradweg cycle path.
