Along the German-Swiss border 🇩🇪🇨🇭🇩🇪🇨🇭

(The recorded values are not correct, the correct value would be (15.5 km, 4.8 km/h, 370 m) Arrival by car, park at the "Buchener Stumpen" hiking car park near Randen. The cross-border tour starts at the approximately 500-year-old oak tree ("Buchener Stumpen"). The tour leads past the northernmost point of Switzerland and always with beautiful views towards Feldberg and the Wutach Valley to Bargen, the northernmost municipality in Switzerland. Then it was almost always uphill with great views of the Hegau and the Bargen Valley. Weather Today, cloudy at 16°C until about halfway through the tour, then bright sunshine.

I was extremely surprised by this tour, probably one of the most beautiful tours in this region. The round can really be described as a panoramic hike, wonderful views over most of the tour. Even the path through Bargen is beautiful, from the middle of the village you follow a small stream and pass wonderfully designed gardens, then there is a dreamlike pond and then a beautiful mixed forest. In this forest, the path starts up again and gets steeper and steeper, but not too bad for experienced hikers. At the end there are 2 gigantic viewpoints and then it goes back to the old oak. There is also a barbecue area at the northernmost point of Switzerland. Conclusion of the tour, I will run it again in autumn at the latest, highly recommended, unfortunately only a little short, but I will look around to see if there is something nice that can be tied up. 😉🍀

Today's tour crosses borders. Partly in Germany and partly in Switzerland. I really liked that. Suddenly you are in a different world. Swiss flags on the houses, some of the usual Swiss houses and then there was Grüzi. There was such a light holiday feeling.😅 Otherwise you were rewarded with world-class views of the Hegau and the Alps. The chain of the Alps was visible today, but the weather was quite milky. Furthermore, sensational views over the wide country. Initially, the path runs over 3.5 km of asphalt, which didn't bother me in any way because I was totally blown away by the amazing panoramic views. You then reach the Swiss town of Bargen via fine gravel paths. It then climbs pleasantly up the mountain on a gravel road. Changes further up on a beautiful forest path that is not so long but extremely steep. Once at the top, it continues on great paths. Then switch to wider paths

A childhood memory was refreshed. I used to go to see the lady's slipper orchid with my parents, who sadly passed away too young. It took many years until I found the same place again—the Tannbuel Nature Reserve. Gudi, thank you so much for the sensational photos 😘
