Hiking
This hike takes you right through the heart of the Klettgau wine region. From the very beginning, you'll be accompanied by expansive vineyards that gently hug the hills, lending the landscape an almost southern character.
At the "Flüe" gorge, you'll find a special spot along the way: the Nagelfluh cave, known as the Winterlislöchli. Somewhat hidden, it offers a view into the German part of the Klettgau – a peaceful place for a break.
Between Wilchingen and Osterfingen, you'll continue your hike through the vineyards. High above the village lies the Osterfingen wine press, dating back to the 16th century and once used as a town wine press. Today, it's a popular meeting place and a lovely spot to stop for refreshments with a view over the vineyards.
The trail leads back through the tranquil village of Osterfingen towards Wilchingen, whose townscape has remained largely unchanged since the late Middle Ages.
A delightful loop hike with wide open spaces, history, and plenty of Klettgau character – particularly atmospheric in spring and autumn.
