This route was planned by komoot.
Today I went to Kensington Metropark in Michigan, a good 40 km above Detroit. Approximately 18.1 km². Forest, water, beach, recreational area, hiking trails. It has it all. I did a loop around Kent Lake and also included the fantastic Wildwing Trail. The diversity of plants and animals was impressive. Birds of all colors that I'd never seen before. And even families of ducks right on the trail, which I hardly dared to pass. With today's knowledge, I would choose the entrance on the west bank and hike the four nature trails, then explore further as I pleased. Another great experience. Unfortunately, Komoot made the tour public before I edited it and uploaded the pictures.
