Mountain biking

Bike where others ski for gold medals. This could be the motto of this tour. After all, you will visit two alpine World Championship ski resorts. Your starting point is the center of Fieberbrunn.

First, however, your mountain legs are called upon. You will collect several meters of altitude – including via switchbacks, which are called Hehnersteign (Chicken Path) by the locals. Ascent is followed by descent: heading down into the valley towards Hinterglemm, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. At the foot of the Zwölferkogel, you are at a World Championship venue. At the valley station in 2025, the World Championship stadium stood with space for 15,000 guests, who celebrated, among other things, the downhill victory of the Swiss Franjo von Allmen.

Through the Saalachtal valley, you will ride to the next World Championship venue – to the valley station of the Kohlmaisbahn. In 1991, the Austrian Petra Kronberger raced to victory on the Kohlmais. The event went down in history as the "Sunny World Championship" due to the beautiful weather. On your way back to Fieberbrunn, you will have to master a few more meters of altitude – up to the Spielberghaus.

That one was nice through forests at the beginning, nice views, a short XC single track, ending with a blue flow trail
Left in rain. Apart from cold hands and feet, it was not too bad (With 3l pants and vest on)
Serious climber to the top but a different experience. Encountered beautiful waterfalls due to the rain and nice mini water crossings to drive through. Cleared up a bit in the afternoon.
This version is without the blue Line down. But …

So I put something together. 🚵‍♀️ I had to crank a lot here today. ⛰️ But all in all I was super happy with my performance and the battery also had 18% left. I was always rewarded for the exertion with great views. 😅🍀😊

Of course, you can also cycle up to the Spielberghaus, but if the ascent is already included in the Joker, why bother? Those who like can incorporate one or two easy trails into this tour; if that's not their thing, they can easily bypass them. Overall, a wonderful panoramic tour for everyone. As I said... You can also cycle directly …
