The Millstätter See cycle path leads once around the Millstätter lake. It begins at the eastern end of the north shore and runs on a separately separated paved bike path along the Millstätter Landesstraße on the shore of Lake Millstatt to the west. The northern section of the route is covered in no time due to the low slope and paved grip and leads through the lively villages Döbriach, Millstatt and Seeboden.
On the other hand, it gets a bit more demanding on the unspoiled south shore. Here you have to pedal. You have to master several small ascents here. After a climb, but always followed by a long descent, where you can just run the bike. The gravel road on the south bank is mostly wooded and therefore offers plenty of shady sections.
From the 11th to the 13th of May an e-bike event will take place on Lake Millstatt. For three days, everything revolves around the theme of e-bikes on Lake Millstatt. "Experience the enjoyment of Lake Millstatt" is the motto of the new festival for e-biker fans of all ages, where there are e-bikes for all including advice and testing.
At "E-Motions", cyclists of all ages, whether they are e-bike beginners, pleasure cyclists or ambitious e-mountain bikers, get their money's worth.
For the festival opening on Friday, May 11, 2018, the organizers have come up with something very special. Rounding the Millstätter See cycle path with a ski legend: the Austrian ski legend and Olympic champion Franz Klammer will officially open the festival and tour program as the exclusive tour guide of the "Winora Haibike Tour". The "Winora Haibike Tour" will take participants to the most beautiful spots around the lake.

The other side is almost exclusively in the shade through the forest to ride beautifully, but has a few uphill and downhill sections with the electric bike, however, no problem.
Beautiful tour highly recommended!

Charly'sSeelounge for relaxing and the "fish snack bar in the garden" - super tasty.
But take a look yourself :-)
