Von Bad Wildbad nach Pforzheim über die Enzquelle – Radfahren im Schwarzwald

For our bike tours in the Northern Black Forest 🌳 we chose Pforzheim as the starting point. This is where 3 rivers come together, the Enz flows through Pforzheim, the "Würm" flows into the Nagold here, which then flows into the Enz near Pforzheim. The plan was to do the Enz Valley Cycle Route (in 2 stages), the Nagold Valley Cycle Route and the Würm Valley Cycle Route, but we were unable to do the latter due to the weather. After arriving by car 🚙 we started the first stage of the Enz Valley Cycle Route at the source near Gompelscheuer (Enzklösterle) in great weather ☀️ 🚲 The tour ended in Pforzheim after 43km via the towns of Enzklösterle, Bad Wildbad, Calmbach, Höfen and Neuenbürg. The cycle paths often ran within sight of the Enz and were in really good condition along the entire route. We particularly liked the spa park in Bad Wildbad and the beautiful wooden bridges over the Enz. After arriving in Pforzheim, we took the train 🚂 (to Bad Wildbad) and bus 🚌 and then went back to Gompelscheuer to pick up the car 🚙.

from the travel brochure: Dear cycling friends, In cooperation with the bicycle department of SV Großeicholzheim, we are planning a bicycle tour in the Enztal / Northern Black Forest on August 28, 2021! We start with our bikes in Gompelscheuer, near the Enz spring, and cycle on the Enz cycle path past Enzklösterle to Bad Wildbad! Here we take the summer mountain railway up to the summer mountain, where we will spend our lunch break! There is also the possibility to visit the treetop path or to walk over the pedestrian suspension bridge WILDLINE! In the afternoon we continue cycling along the Enz to Pforzheim! At the gasometer, which is currently showing the giant GREAT BARRIER REEF, we end the tour and visit the exhibition! Finally, a stop is planned on the return trip by bus!

On the way back from the Enzquelle to Bad Wildbad the program went on strike, probably needed a break with so much ☀️😅

14 cyclists, a group that meets in winter in South Tyrol to ski, tackled today's tour. Lunch break at the Zordel trout farm, coffee break in Enzklösterle after a heavy downpour. Super planning by our Skifahreŕ colleagues through the Enztal, beautiful natural deciduous forest, and a great group of 7 couples. Eating good fish at the Zordel trout farm. Continue with several meters of altitude from the Enztal into the Nagoldtal to Altensteig. Overnight stay in the Hotel Seeger, after a very good dinner, some wine and a cozy get-together we went to bed around midnight for a well-earned rest. Great day , everyone unharmed and healthy .
