Beautiful spring hike, with some snow in the upper part, to the Suretta lakes. Fantastic views of the white mountain panorama and the frozen lakes. In the village of Splügen we went up through the Lärcha forest, over the Marmorbrüggli to the Splügen Bodmastafel. From there up the mountain flank, along through the Räzünscher Alps to the high plateau to the lower and upper Surettasee. The views there are simply brilliant, pure nature! It's back towards the Räzünscher Alps to Franzisch Grind, then down through the Fugschtwald to the Lärchawädli and Splügä villages.
What a relaxing day on a beautiful hike. Great, varied trails, no particular difficulties, and breathtaking scenery. The upper Suretta Lake was already 16 degrees Celsius, and we went swimming several times, enjoying the sun, peace, and scenery for over three hours before heading back down.
