Hiking
The circular route starts at the car park of St. Petri Church. From there, the tour leads you through the historic town center of Osten to the impressive Osten–Hemmoor transporter bridge. It was opened in 1909 and is now one of the few remaining transporter bridges worldwide.
On the Hemmoor side, the World Transporter Bridges information mile with four stations provides information about these extraordinary technical monuments.
The hike, which leads back to the Oste river via the historic Hemmoor train station and the Heidestrandbad (heath beach pool), makes the circular route a special discovery tour.
