The Kirnbergsee is ideal for swimming. To reach its bank, you simply drive straight ahead in Unterbrand instead of turning right. Alternatively, you can also visit the outdoor pool in Dittingen, shortly before the end of the tour, to swim your laps in the cool water.
The best way to get to the starting point in Löffingen is by train from Villingen or Freiburg. From the train station in Löffingen it is only a few meters to the start of the tour.
