It doesn't always have to be the long, full-day tour. The tour to the Bürglhütte is rather short in terms of kilometers, but not a walk because of the almost 900 meters in altitude. Whereby the walk fits again insofar as the tour runs along a variant of the Pinzgauer walk, a popular hiking tour up to the foot of the Gaisstein.
In Stuhlfelden, right next to the leisure center, you start your tour to the Bürglhütte. Immediately after the start you will see Lichtenau Castle on the left, an interesting building from the 16th century. Immediately afterwards it is time to find rhythm, because the ascent, at the beginning still on asphalt, begins and will not end anytime soon. Unless you make a stop at the forest chapel, which is a few meters to the left of the road.
In the fifth bend you now follow the gravel road to the right, which leads you past the chapel at Saueck and then into the Mühltal. This section is made for the gravel bike and wonderful to ride. Shortly afterwards you will reach the picturesque Bürglhütte, where you can dine excellently. The way back to Stuhlfelden is the same.
