September 2, 2021, 🌊🧱🏗️☀️Filstalroute mit Industriekultur #RideCampRide

After a good 1600 km and approx. 15000 hm across southern Germany (BW and BY) we are getting closer and closer to home. Yesterday thought, blatant, no breakdown, zack, 5 km before the finish a flat tire. Since the old hose was perforated - hose change, unfortunately the hand pump could not build up enough pressure despite the soap, so that today's stage was initially uneven. Thanks to the really nice bike dealer in Geislingen a. d. Steige then ran like clockwork 😍 After the previous 2 weeks were cold & wet, the sun finally showed up ☀☀️☀️ After we had been on the industrial heritage route several times in the Ruhr area, we were very happy that it was also in the Ländle has an industrial culture route in the Filstal.

Beautiful autumn tour from Kirchheim/Teck up to the Swabian Alb, where the Filstal route begins at "Bahnhöfle". The upper Fils valley and especially the area around the Filsquelle are very beautiful. The rest of the route is not so great, especially the Göppingen passage. You'll be happy when you've done it! In Ebersbach there is a confusingly signposted detour. I had to ask locals who knew the area to find the route to Plochingen. In Plochingen the train didn't take me because it was overcrowded. So an eventful day!

I planned the tour using komoot. Unfortunately, the tour is often on the main roads and not through nature or very rarely along the Fils. Up to Geislingen it is the old railway line anyway, always nice to ride.

The headwind has demanded a lot through the Filstal to almost the Filsursprung. In return, there was the infinitely beautiful landscape from the Filsursprung to the Randecker Maar and finally the rapid descent from Ochsenwang to Bissingen

Today I cycled from Hochdorf to Kirchheim. From the train station there I took bus 176 to Schopfloch. The bus has a trailer for bikes on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. According to the bus driver, it is sometimes full on Sundays, but never on Saturdays. From Schopfloch I went back home via Geislingen. It was a very nice tour today.
