Fantastically beautiful hike 💚🙂 Start at the Silvretta reservoir through the Bieltal up to the Radsattel, short detour to the "Nameless Summit", steep descent to the Wiesbadener Hut for lunch🥧🍪🍺. Back to the Silvretta reservoir through the Ochsental via the summer path. Great hike in the best weather🌞 and unbelievable impressions of the mighty mountains with Piz Buin, Hohes Rad, snow bell and whatever they are called😤.
Piz 6 R - a hilltop with a summit cross on the bike saddle. But the 2,701m is our highest point on this holiday and the most meters in altitude in one day. The route starts at the Silvretta reservoir and goes anti-clockwise into the Biel Valley, which is gentle on the knees. It's not without reason that the path is marked "blue and white" - it climbs up quite a bit in the scree! The view gets better and better, even the Piz Buin doesn't take off its cloud cap. From Piz 6 R or Radsattel we take the winter path to the Wiesbadener Hütte... After stopping for a break, we switch to the blue and white marked summer path, which leads above the road/winter path in a much gentler descent back to the lake. There are only a few hikers on this route, which is completely different on the road...
We did not go to the summit because of the large amount of fresh snow. https://www.tourenbuch.org/?p=2233
Can someone pinch me? How beautiful can a landscape be. I've been to the Silvretta reservoir many times and my heart beats a little faster every time. The tour around the Hohe Rad starts along the Bieltalbach. The meters are slowly increasing. The first 3000m peaks appear in front of us and then we go up a somewhat rocky path to the right below the High Council. Climb a bit - just the way I like it. But everything is still doable. And then an incredible panorama opens up. From Radsattel at 2600m you have a magnificent view of Piz Buin and the glacier, the Silvretta Horn. Here we first enjoyed the view. Continue down a bit to the Wiesbadener Hütte. The view is always of the imposing mountain peaks and the glacier. How I would like to be there now. The path from the Wiesbadener hut drags on again, but the summer path totally impresses @Janna Kamphof and me. Especially when the turquoise blue lake opens up in front of us. What a tour!
The tour can be walked well in 5h... if free of snow
Today we were back in the Silvretta 🏔 Already on the approach over the high alpine road we got from a fog bank into the next cloud and still got to see the sun from time to time. Past the dam wall, we kept to the left to catch the high path above the reservoir circuit. In a good mood, we quickly disappeared into a cloud and could watch marmots playing when we emerged from the cloud. 😊 In the direction of the saddle and when we crossed into the Bieltal, we got into a heavy rain shower. Nevertheless, we were able to spot ibexes and literally walked back to the parking lot towards the sun. Jupiter almost always led the way and disappeared from view about 30 minutes before the target. Instead, he surprised his stepsister at the dam with a hot chocolate from the kiosk 😇
Today we took the hiking bus to the Bieler Höhe. From the Silvretta reservoir towards Radsattel through the picturesque Bieltal. The climb up to Radsattel was tough, and because it was so beautiful yesterday, we again went over some snow fields and through scree. The descent to the Wiesbadener hut is not easy either, especially since the descent is not that great anyway. The cheese platter was very good and then we headed back towards the reservoir. The sun ☀️ was also very kind.
Impressive hike with a great panorama, glacier view and varied landscape. The tour should only be undertaken with good footwear, sure-footedness and alpine experience. We did it as a "family hike" with children between the ages of 8 and 14, but our children have a lot of "hiking experience" and stamina. The length of the route should not be underestimated.
