The Lauter is a real paradise, especially for nature-loving cyclists. On this round you go on a journey of discovery to the source of the river. The start is at the hikers' parking lot in the mountains at Upfinger Ried. But you can also start in Bad Urach or Gomadingen if you want to travel by train.
You first drive over a small hill to Dottingen. The view after every climb is always enchanting. In Gomadingen you can reach the Lauter. Here she is still very young and you follow her to Offenhausen. There it arises somewhat hidden in a courtyard behind the monastery.
After a long break, you cycle back to your starting point. Some of the streets are wonderfully quiet. Shortly after Gächingen there is a steep climb, then you drive on small paths along the edge of the forest to your starting point.
