This tour is not a walk in the traditional sense. A few too many meters in altitude are involved and a certain level of fitness is required. But you can still look forward to it: you will get to know the Salzburg Pinzgau again from a particularly promising side.

A very beautiful panoramic mountain trail that lives up to its name. If you use the ascent and descent aids, you can enjoy a long hike with few meters of elevation and a constant great view. The level of difficulty only comes from the 17.5 km 😊
Superbe balade sur les cretes. A faire par beau temps
The Pinzgau walk A walk at a high level With the Pinzgau walk you will discover a real classic among the long-distance hiking trails during your summer holiday on the Schmitten. And at the same time one of the most beautiful high-altitude trails in the Eastern Alps. High altitude hike through the Eastern Alps Großglockner, Kitzsteinhorn, Granatspitze, Sonnblick, Großvenediger ... Let yourself be inspired by the impressive summit panorama of the Hohe Tauern! During the entire tour, the Salzach Valley, which is 1,000 meters lower, remains in view. Look forward to this long walk through the Pinzgau grass mountains, which is an absolute highlight when the weather is nice.
Tour from the Schattberg mountain station in Saalbach to the Schmittenhöhe mountain station in Zell am See. Path with moderate gradients, easy to walk and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains
beautiful hike, good shoes and take enough food/drink with you
Today we set off from the West Summit on the Pinzgau walk. A dream path 🥰😍! In glorious weather 🌞🌞 we walked along a fantastic high-altitude hiking trail towards Schmittenhöhe. We were constantly treated to a panorama that was enough to make us melt away. The view of the Hohe Tauern National Park was unbelievably gigantic. The view was so clear today that you could see very far and see many details of the mountains. A dreamy path, dreamy views, a dreamy hike, just beautiful! 🌞😎🥰🥾❤️
What a great way !!! I am totally excited😊 The HM are not a problem and that's why I installed 2 Kogel and therefore deviated from the actual route for a short time, but kept coming back to it. The views are wonderful and the view would have been clearer today, certainly totally impressive 😊 I can only recommend the tour. However, you should really take the first train up so that you can take your time for pictures and breaks and moments of enjoyment ☺
