Two Lakes

Highlight • Lake

As the name implies - two lakes in the middle of a barren high mountain landscape. The lakes are from the last ice age and lie in a hollow between Grubachkogel and Schwarzenstein.

Gipfelstürmer
September 29, 2024, 4 Gipfel ⛰️⛰️⛰️⛰️ und Zweiseen - Runde von der Emberger Alm [29.09.24] 🇦🇹

A scenic circular tour that not only takes you to 4 peaks but also to two lakes. In detail, these were: ⛰️ Naßfeldriegel (2238 m) ⛰️ Hohe Grändn (2329 m) ⛰️ Hochtristen (2536 m) ⛰️ Schwarzriegel (2264 m) and the two lakes: Einsee and Zweisee. By the way, blueberry and cranberry fans are getting their money's worth. It felt like being in a gourmet garden. All in all, a tour that has a lot to offer and also gave us our 500th hour of hiking. 🥉

Beautiful circular hike in a magnificent landscape and with a wonderful view. Partly challenging and surefootedness is a must. The climb to the Hochtriesten in particular is steep and somewhat exposed.

Very great day hike. Don't forget provisions.

A very nice hike. At the beginning it went through beautiful green, a spring and passing a stream were the first little highlights. After the first snowfields and another ascent, a whistling marmot greeted us. The path on this tour is well marked and easy to walk on. When he arrived at the lake, Happy first took a bath and had a drink. We then continued along a ridge through some snow fields and past a very curious flock of sheep. The view was still wonderful. In two small passages we had to lift larger heels down, but all in all the path is very easy to pass even with a dog.

The tour is great in the fall. Just think of enough water. All fountains are already switched off and the restaurants are closed (at least on public holidays). It was very dry and there was hardly any water in the streams
