The tour starts in Lonsee in the Lone Valley. You first follow the Lone Valley, which winds in many loops through the green landscape. Again and again you pass bizarre rock formations with creative names, such as the foal house. The first 20 kilometers are slightly downhill, then you pedal hard and climb the first inclines.
Via Börslingen and Ballendorf you reach Altheim / Alb and then Stubersheim with the Stubersheimer Alb. To top it all off, a nice descent back to the Lone Valley is waiting for you. Overall, this is a very varied tour with many fascinating insights into the unique natural area of the Swabian Alb.
There are also rail connections in Lonsee, Urspring, Westerstetten and Amstetten. So you have many different options to get on the tour. In summer you can also experience trips on museum trains and historic steam trains from Amstetten and see even more of the beautiful landscape without any effort.

The round is nice to drive, initially it is comfortable on the level or even a bit downhill. From Altheim there is a lot of forest, which was very good today with the weather and from then on we didn't meet any other cyclists. But somehow we were a …
