What could be nicer than a bike ride along peaceful babbling rivers? It rolls wonderfully through the almost flat valleys and there is still a lot to see. This gourmet tour begins in the beer culture city of Ehingen and takes you through the Schmiechtal, the Heutal and the Schandental,…

Made a wonderful four valley tour from Schmiechen today. In the Schmiechtal and Schandental I was even on my own. In the Großer Lautertal there was more bicycle traffic, but it was also limited. The weather was also fine, just a few drops after the lunch break. If you like a lot of nature, this tour is the right one for you. Only in the Danube Valley is it not that great Unfortunately, what doesn't fit now is the order of the pictures.
I got the tour from the tourism side of the Alb-Donau district https://www.tourismus.alb-donau-kreis.de/de/urlaubsthemen/radfahren/erlebnistouren/ We started in Schmiechen and drove along the Danube via Ehingen, Rottenacker and Munderkingen, although the route only becomes really beautiful from Munderkingen. The Lautertal is a pleasure by bike anyway. Unfortunately, you have to drive a bit on the road in the direction of Bremelau. Then it will be car-free and very beautiful in the Heutal, Schandental and Schmiechtal valleys.
Today we went to the Alb 😊 I had heard of Lautertal several times ... and a tour awaited us that couldn't have been nicer! 😃 The route led us through the valley of the (great) Lauter, we continued along the Danube (although: the section around Ehingen is unfortunately "less beautiful" - I will try to avoid it next time!), From there back to the Schmiechtal and over the Schandental. A dream!! I am flashed to tal! 😃 The Lautertal in particular is a stunner! 👌🏻👍🏻 If you don't know it yet, you should do so soon. The Lautertal cycle path deserves five ⭐! Hammer! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I would like to thank the Haibike rider who inspired me to do this tour (I basically followed his lap on April 26th). 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
That was another nice tour today - and that with wonderful weather! The special highlight today was the valley of the Lauter framed by high mountains, the picturesque rocks of which give this valley a special character! The tour is easy to drive, there are no big strenuous inclines. It is therefore not surprising that there are a lot of people here! Shortly before huts, however, I left the bike path on the way back because I treated myself to a small mountain. So in the end there was actually something of an MTB feeling ... 👍😊😇
ADK 10: From Ehingen through the most beautiful river landscapes 23° 2-3 Bft from the east, cloudy, sunny, sometimes a bit fresh, 810m max. altitude. Starting point: Buttenhausen Lautertal, Rottenacker, Berg, Ehingen, Schmiechen, Hütten, Heutal, Schandental. Refreshment stop: Berg Brauerei Wirtschaft We have done this tour many times, it is always beautiful.
Variant 1: already at Buttenhausen (instead of Hundersingen) into the Lautertal, Variant 2: small detour via Ehingen-Berg🍺
30° 2 Bft from the northwest, clear, sunny. The air on the Alb was very pleasant. Starting point: Buttenhausen Tour with Harald Bichishausen, Lauterach, Munderkingen, Rottenacker, Ehingen, Allmendingen, Schmiechen, Sondernach. Lautertal, Donautal, Allmendinger Ried, Schmichtal, Heutal, Schandental. Shortly after Schmiechen, the bike path was closed due to tree felling. We cycled across the meadow parallel to the track and railway line. After a few hundred meters, we were back on our path after the closure. We didn't notice any work in the forest. Refreshments: Berg Brauerei Wirtschaft. It was a great tour.
On the Alb: 29° 2 Bft from the SW, cloudy, sunny. Starting point: Buttenhausen. Cycle the Lautertal to the Danube. Continue to Untermarchtal, Munderkingen, Rottenacker, Ehingen. From Ehingen the Schmiechtal bike path to Allmendingen, Schmiechen to Hütten. The Heutal begins in Sondernach and merges into the Schandental. From the train station in Mehrstetten up the mountain and down to Buttenhausen in the Lauter valley. There is another identical track: 3 river valleys and the beauty of the Swabian Jura. This begins in Münsingen and is 85 km long and 450 vertical meters.
